THOMAS ANDREWS (c. 1645–1718), son of Robert Andrews and Grace Unknown

REBECCA UNKNOWN (d. 1724)

Thomas Andrews, the son of Robert and Grace Andrews, was born bout 1645. [1] He died in 1718. [2] He married first Martha Antram on 22 June 1670 in Topsfield. [3] Martha was the widow of Obadiah Antram of Ipswich. [1] He married second Rebecca Unknown.

Rebecca died on 1 April 1724. [2]

Savage says about Obadiah Antram: [4]

ANTRAM, OBADIAH, Salem, s. of Thomas of the same, left good est. to w. Martha, of wh. no ch. is ment. when he was lost at sea on voyage to Nevis or other W.I. island.

Thomas Andrews, husbandman of Boxford, disposed of his property on 3 October 1716. He gave it to his son Thomas in return for Thomas supporting him and his wife Rebecca and making his bequests. He confirmed the land that he had given Timothy Foster as part of Timothy's wife's portion and asked Thomas to making bequests to his daughters Elizabeth Wilson, Martha Fifield, Sarah Swett, Foster (no first name), Patience Andrews and Hester. [5]

Thomas was on several committees in Boxford to settle boundary lines. He was "sealer of weights and measures for many years. He was selectman in 1688, 1691 and 1696 and constable in 1698. [6]
